You could say this is now the heart of the home. I love to find different ways to depict these places full of potential. Where else do we make food for a baby, pay the bills, entertain friends, and answer homework questions! Sketching is another way of thinking and designing for me. It is the first step to a multi layered process.

We have a host of rooms to meet our needs. I love to draw each one out and think of the way we live in these spaces. In moving from one method to the next, small changes inevitably take place. (Sketches and the resulting bisque fired pieces shown here)
Color & Design
With the aid of a digital program, I am able to test out a variety of color schemes before making a permanent choice.
Transfer to Clay
Slip transfers are so rewarding! Though it is a bit nerve wracking to cover all of the line work hoping it will all transfer as desired!
